Update Sunday 9-14-08
Here is the finished concrete around the front of the building. Paving should be completed on Monday.
The finishers are sanding the sheet rock and painters are to return this week and prime the gym.
Heat and air duct is going up in the gym and 3 of the 4 units have been set. The two 5 ton heat pumps that run the front rooms and restrooms etc. are being hooked up today they are 5 ton Trane heat pumps. The big rear units that run the gym will be 15 ton gas packs.
This is a close up to show the detail of the building. It is brick a quarter of the way up and Effice painted a tan color the rest of the way. Each window has a decorative feature above it.
Here is a video showing the inside. Some parts may be to dark. It was to dark to show the gym portion of the building that is straight back after going through the front door.
There is no sound.
As you walk through the front door there is a large foyer with four classrooms, two on each side. Then next is a storage room on one side and a kitchen on the other side. Inside the gym is access to the bathrooms (not pictured).
On Monday...
The paving crew is here and have begun paving. They cut 10 inches deep to get grade then put 8 inches of stone down and wet it and packed it until it was like concrete now they put 2 inches of pavement on top of that. We won't drive on it this week but by the next Sunday 28th we can begin to use it.

Update Friday September 5, 2008
The scaffolding has been removed from the outside of the building. New pictures coming soon.
Pastor Parrish shares...
Thursday morning the construction company was pouring our 10 foot wide sidewalk along the 140 feet side of the building.
The Septic tank people did a good job and got the 240 feet of line in with just two lines 120 feet each which makes a better landscaping possible etc. and they just left finished today, Inspected and approved. I am sure glad that is over and done. State and county inspectors make me nervous.
The electricians mounted the wall box for Duke power to run their line to and they finished and cut the joints in the sidewalk. They framed up the pads for the 15 ton gas packs at the rear of the building and they will pour those and the floor around the Sprinkler riser inside the building and then frame up for the pad and side walk at the front of the building on Friday.
The gentleman doing the landscaping and grading and paving has been called and may begin the grading tomorrow.

They still have a few sheets of sheet rock to hang in the gym and we added a small wall and door in the ladies restroom to cover up the Fire sprinkler riser that is a 6 inch pipe and gauges etc. That will cost an extra $1,000.

The sheet rock finishers are keeping up with the hangers pretty close so painting will not be to far behind.

Update Monday 8-25-08
This update shows the side of the gym being finished as they move to the top and front of the building.

Approximately 30 people toured the building Sunday evening before the service. Pastor Parrish shares this update...
"Insulation and the cement stucco was being worked on today at the gym. The lower half of the front was finished before the rain.
The inside insulation will be finished then an inspection must take place and then the rest of the sheet rock can be hung.
$2950 is the cost on the septic tank. Remember to pray for God's timing on it with the weather and 3 major underground lines that will be run: Natural Gas, Phone and Power.
The gym will have a monitored fire and burglar alarm system and a separate phone line with new number for the gym."
